Maxine C. Tabas, MD
Dr. Maxine C. Tabas is a highly experienced Board Certified Dermatologists, providing Central Florida patients the latest techniques in Mohs micrographic surgery, general and cosmetic dermatology, and aesthetic procedures for over 20 years. As a recognized expert in her field, Dr. Tabas is known for her extensive expertise in treating skin cancer and performing reconstructive surgery in addition to general and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Tabas completed a prestigious Fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery & dermatologic surgery at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO and has an excellent reputation amongst her colleagues. Dr. Tabas was on faculty at Washington University Medical School and was Head of Dermatology Surgery and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Tabas grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She then went on to take her internship, residency, and fellowship there as well. After fellowship, she joined the faculty at Washington University before accepting a position at Stanford in Palo Alto, CA. In 1991, she moved to Central Florida and opened her private practice.
