Latisse
What is Latisse?
Latisse is the first treatment approved by the FDA for hypotrichosis, which is another name for having inadequate or insufficient eyelashes. It is the only solution clinically proven to stimulate eyelash hairs into the active growth phase causing them to grow longer, thicker, and darker. If you spend countless dollars on mascara to artificially lengthen your eyelashes, Latisse might be the product for you. Available by prescription only, schedule a consultation with Dr. Maxine Tabas MD and you can start growing your own lashes today.
Latisse Overview
Everyone loves long, thick eyelashes. They enhance the beauty of your eyes and signify youth and good health. We have all seen what dramatic difference thicker lashes can make. You can transform your appearance from plain to pretty with just a few strokes of mascara. But mascara can do very little if you have thin or sparse lashes due to aging or heredity. For convenience sake, even women who are helped by mascara would love to have lush eyelashes without makeup.
With Latisse, you can improve the appearance of your eyelashes safely and effectively with long-term results. Latisse is applied to the base of your eyelashes once per day like eyeliner. One bottle typically lasts four to six weeks and results are usually noticeable within this period. While Latisse is a new treatment in eyelash growth, it is effective and easy to use.
Some important application tips for Latisse include:
• Do not apply in your eye or to your lower eyelid.
• Only use the sterile applicators supplied with Latisse to apply your product.
• Do not allow the tip of the bottle, or applicator, to touch fingers or any other unintended surface, as contamination by common bacteria is known to cause infections.
• Remove your contact lenses prior to applying Latisse. Contact lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes after your treatment.
• Remember, if you stop using Latisse your will gradually return to their previous appearance.
